RepoLadder

Run one command on your TypeScript or JavaScript repo. Get a diagram a newcomer can click through.

Every box and arrow comes from the code. It starts with the big pieces in plain language. Open any box to go one level deeper, down to the files.

A tour of a real diagram. The full launch video is coming.

How it works

From repo to clickable diagram

  1. Analyze

It reads your repo on your machine: files, imports, calls between parts, services and endpoints.

  2. Claude names the parts

Claude reads a short summary and groups the files into parts with plain names.

  3. Lay it out

Each level is drawn from the facts, with every arrow checked against the code.

  4. Click through it

You get a page you can open box by box, from the big picture down to the files.

Why you can trust the arrows

Every arrow comes from the code

Every box and arrow is traced to the code: imports, calls by function name or URL, database reads and writes, and the services you use. Click an arrow to see the file and line.

Claude only names and groups. It can't add a connection that isn't in the code, and the build rejects a grouping that leaves a file out.

  • Imports and calls, by function name or URL
  • Database reads and writes
  • The services you use

    /plugin install repoladder@repoladder
  3. Open your repo in Claude Code and run /map

If another plugin also has a /map command, run /repoladder:map instead.

Your code stays yours

The analysis runs on your machine. Claude reads a short summary of your repo in your own Claude Code session. The diagram is published as a private Artifact, only when you ask. Usage stats are off unless you say yes, and they never include names, paths or code.
